Mummy's diary

Xuan turned 15 months old yesterday. Last night, mummy was full of thoughts and Xuan decided to help mummy pen her little diary.

Miraculously, when mummy learned that she was pregnant with a little baby in February 2006, she exercised care in her diet and daily activities, making sure that the little darling inside her tummy is well protected and growing well. Any free time that mummy has will be spent on reading materials to get ready for my arrival. From a little egg to a well-formed foetus, mummy and papa were always looking forward to each every checkup to catch a glimpse of ME through the scan machine. I still remember that i always give mummy a kick and punch every now and then to say, "HI MUMMY"! There was a night where little Xuan was very happy and as usual i gave mummy a kick and Opps I realised that this was a really hard one and I hurt mummy so much that she could not sleep well that night.

22 November 2006. What a significant day for my family. :)

Before i bring myself forth to this beautiful family, mummy endured much pain for about 3 hours that she said that she nearly twisted papa's hand. Since the day, mummy and papa's life changed. All their time surrounds little Xuan. From feeding to changing diaper, they just want to make sure that their little Xuan is well and happy. Although gone were mummy and papa's freedom honeymoon days, they have the most wonderful gift from their union! Little Xuan.

Making sure that Xuan will not be bored in the day while mummy and papa off to work, mummy and papa bought lots of toys, music songs and dance CD for Xuan. And of course mummy and papa are grateful that ah ma is here to care for Xuan. I know that both mummy and papa were tired after a hard day work but they always put behind their tiredness and play with Xuan till dark. Mummy always make it a point that she will be the one to shower for Xuan every evening cos it is an important bonding time for us!

Xuan's every little action and smile melts mummy and papa's hearts. Although they were stern to me a few times, I know that they LOVE me so. Have Xuan been naughty? I do not exactly know but little Xuan thought that the few buttons on the tall tall fan look really interesting and would really like to explore.. hummmm... but mummy repeated, "hands away, no playing with the fan.. it is very dangerous!" Xuan hope to understand why soon.

For all Xuan know, I have a lovely mummy and papa who LOVE XUAN dear.

Mummy and papa said that mandarin oranges smybolise "吉利" and it is a must to bring to 拜年.


Xuan is all dressed up and ready to go.
Humm... but mummy is busy dolling up before we can go 拜年. Afterall, she is Princess's Xuan mummy! :D Look at the pretty butterfly hair clips that mummy bought for me.. So sweet and pretty isn't it!

Pai Nian le!

Xuan has woke up early on 1st day of new year. Xuan is excited as mummy and papa have prepared 2 sets of pretty "tang-zhuang" for Xuan this new year!

Going for reunion dinner

Mummy said that time flies as she recalled that Xuan was only a 3 month old baby last Chinese New Year.

Happy Chinese New Year!

Chinese New Year Shopping!

Count down to Chinese New Year! humm.. 2 more days before Xuan can collect Hong Bao! Hurray!


Xuan has been busy shopping for Chinese New Year. Beside getting new pretty dresses, "mum mum" ("food") is also very important. Woww.. these love letters look so yummy.. mummy, shall we buy some home, please? :)


Xuan is so happy. We have got a lot of goodies ready for chinese new year!

Mummy and papa have got a lot of toys for Xuan. Jigsaw bricks and rubber mats ABC, dancing bear, mini do-re-mi singing piano, rocking horse .. too many to name. :)

"Mummy and papa, Xuan knows that i have a lot of toys already but Xuan would still love to have many more.. Got it!" :D


Time to pack up...

Xuan at play!

It has been almost 6 months since Xuan attends classes at Kindermusik! Time flies. From a baby that needs mummy to support me to a crawling baby to now a big girl. ("o") Woww... Xuan has grown up!

Xuan is now capable for walking around the big classroom exploring all the pictures cards and musical instruments. Sweet mummy and papa will still be busy following Xuan around the class, worrying that Xuan may trip over and land on my little friends who are also the beginner walkers. Mummy calls us, the "drunken babies"! hahaha..

Xuan enjoys the weekly class as Xuan gets to meet many friends. In the class, Mummy often carry Xuan close as we dance to the music. We enjoy the bonding time!

Recently, Xuan has started to help younger friends in the class to get their toys. Xuan has also learnt how to help return the musical instruments and balls back to the basket before the class ended. Mummy says, "Xuan is good girl, Well done!"
