Dear didi and me

Didi is best Xuan's best playmate and companion at home!

Yes, there are times of the days where both Xuan and Kai will snatch toys, have big and little arguments over whose DVD to watch, over the other one sitting on his/her favourite spot.... endless list... but these are always short happenings and soon forgottten in less than 10 minutes. Their laughter of happiness and scream of excitment when they play, run and chase each other round the house can send echo bouncing back and fro from our block to the opposite block on a silent night! ** Door and windows close please! **

During the 1st few days of school re-open this month, Kai called for jiejie once he was out of the lift all the way to the door (thinking that jiejie is at home). Jiejie, on the other hand said, "Kai, I miss you when I was in school" once the school bus door open (according to ah ma)... hahaha...

Mummy attended a Meet parents Conference in Xuan's school last week and Xuan's teacher told mummy that Xuan must have loved her brother a lot cos Xuan is always sharing a lot of stories about her brother in school everyday! hahaha.. The most funniest thing is when Xuan is unhappy with her friend, she will lament to her friend, "I will go home and tell my brother!" hahaha...

At the last school excursion, Xuan's classmate was nice to give her a lollipop. Guess what, Xuan went back to her friend and asked, "May I have another one for my brother?" And yes, she had another one! hahaha... when we reached home, Xuan remembered and reminded mummy to pass that lollipop to didi. :D

School excursion - Trip to Vegetable Farm

Xuan almost forgot to share some pictures taken at the school excursion for the last term of 2010.

This time, we went to the Vegetable Farm. We were brought to different sections of the farm to see how the vegetables are grown with just water (no soil), how they are packed by groups of aunties before they are delivered to supermarkets etc... Although the facilitator was trying hard to explain to all mummies and us, most of my friend, including me can't really appreciate much though.. hahhaa.. However, whenever the facilitator took out some plants or sample for everyone to feel, all of us will rush forward. haha.. The facilitator even convince us that the vegetable is very clean and fresh by eating one leaf on the spot.

Everyone can tell that the happiest and most enjoyable time of the trip is the break time when all of us started digging into our bags for our snacks and titbits! Some mummies are really kind to pack big packs of biscuits and sweets for the whole class. :) haha... During this time, the facilitator conducted a quiz and Xuan won the prize for the 1st question! haha... mummy whispered the answer to me and Xuan promptly raised my hand and a pot of plant is mine! haha.. now, the pot of plant is sitting outside our door. :)

At the end of the trip, we went back home with big bags of vegetables, complimentary from the farm. :)

Our K1 girl

Xuan is K1 this year and this is already the 2nd week of the new school term. :)

It seems not too long ago that Xuan started school when she was 2 and a half years old in the current school. From a active toddler who can't sit long throughout a lesson to now a big jiejie in school. Even the principal told mummy that Xuan has grown up a lot a lot!


Mummy took leave and brought Xuan for a walk and treat to Haagen Dazz ice-cream one day before school re-open. :)

We really see Xuan growing up and learning a lot over the last N2 year.

Mummy and papa wish our little Xuan have a fruitful learning year in 2011.. continue to learn, continue to have lots of fun, continue to excel, continue to SHINE!

Deep in thoughts?

No... Xuan is actually deeply engrossed in television programme. Xuan has inherited papa's genes in this aspect. She can be SO SO engrossed in some shows that she can be totally oblivious to anyone's calling and any happenings around her. hahaha..

Kids@work

Last christmas eve, Xuan had the chance to visit mummy's office cos there is a kids@work event. :) This is the 2nd time Xuan being to mummy's office. The last time was about 2 years ago when I followed mummy back to distribute cake vouchers for didi's 1st month celebration.

Mummy informed Xuan of the good news a couple of weeks ago before the event and Xuan was excited of the programme line-up such as magic show, face painting, balloon scuplting, goodies bag ...

On that day, Xuan was a good girl in the office. Xuan helped mummy to go round distributing christmas goodies and presents to friends. And of course, Xuan collected a lot of presents and goodies at the same time too! hahaha... Xuan also won praises from some of mummy'a colleagues cos Xuan either followed mummy around well or sit in the cubicle and draw with the many highlighters available or sit and wait for mummy to get things done. :)

As it was a half day event in office, Xuan and mummy took the opportunity to go for quick shopping and lunch thereafter since didi was napping at that time. It was really seas of people everywhere we go. After a few rounds, mummy decided that it would be better for us to sit down and enjoy a good lunch rather than squeezing through the crowds. :)

2010 Family Shots

Xuan is happy to share our lovely family shots taken in last November.

Xuan has my 1st encounter with studio shooting 2 years ago when I was 2. I was just like the current Kai didi. Totally unaware that I was the star of the studio. Unaware that mummy and papa were trying hard to make me smile, make me stay still, make me happy, make me pretty pretty! hahaha.. Nevertheless, mummy and papa agree that I was much cooperative then compared to didi at the same age of 2. hahaha.. During then, didi was also with us but he was in mummy's tummy! Hehehe...

We hope to have such family shots every 2 years again! :D
