Xuan is into drawing recently.
Much to Xuan’s delight, mummy bought new white drawing boards and magic pens last Friday. One for me and one for didi. Both didi and I can’t stop drawing non-stop with the marker pens. Xuan drew caterpillar, flower, tree, smiley faces, wrote her name, practice chinese “bi hua”…..
Last Sunday afternoon, when all of us were in my bedroom playing, Xuan took the board and started drawing lots of smiley faces again. Mummy is delighted cos children are the most innocent and their drawing will always very much reflect their inner feelings and mood.
Xuan requested for a picture shot after she drew the 1st smiley face before she continue.
Xuan said to herself,”this is Anna, this is Kenzan, this is Jasmine, this is Kaito…” **her friends in school..
While Xuan was enjoying her own space and time of imagination and drawing, didi was busy playing his wooden puzzles.
Later in the afternoon when didi was napping, Xuan lamented that she was bored. This is Xuan. She cannot be idle for a while. So we decided that Xuan shall do some painting while mummy needed to catch the little time on household chores. And so, Xuan, the little Picasso started painting on her own. Mixing colours, finger painting, writing chinese "bi hua" and singing to herself as she coloured her world. Totally relaxing and at ease. A wonderful moment. Mummy enjoys that feeling. Can you imagine?
After finishing her work, Xuan washed up the palette, the brushes and her hands with no hassle, with no assistance (although used more water than is needed.. :p).Mummy is pleasantly surprised. Where are mummy and papa? Mummy was busily finishing hanging the last few pieces of clothes (while chatting with Xuan) and papa was out for work assignment the last weekend. And dear didi is still napping. :D
