Winter time at HOME!
Ah ma (paternal ah ma) is going Japan for a holiday next month and Xuan is excited for ah ma!

The 27 months old Xuan
The 27 months old ME is starting to talk really a lot, imitate people a lot, pick up things real fast a lot, plus complain a lot when I am not happy! :p
Although Xuan uses English as the main mode of communication language, Xuan does understand mandarin and can speak some mandarin too! "
Xuan gets really excited when i see my little cousins during weekend and when i see my friends in class. Even mummy finds it hard to calm me down. Well.. Xuan is a happy girl! So expressive and so real me! Mummy finds it really amused and unbelievable when she sees Xuan getting so "high" at times! hahaha...
There are still times when mummy does get really angry with naughty Xuan when i don't listen. Xuan can read Mummy's angry face now. "Mummy angry. Mummy beat beat". Mummy told papa that she is becoming the bad person now, taking the disciplinary role at home. But mummy said that she has no choice. It is for the good of little Xuan cos mummy loves Xuan! Xuan loves mummy too. Xuan still needs mummy to be with me to sleep every night. Xuan still only wants mummy to make milk for me most of the times. :D

Happy weekend is here!
Xuan is happy that weekend is here! It is our family "gai gai" time again! :D

Xuan enjoys going class now!
Xuan went for my 4th lesson at GUG today. Xuan enjoys myself so far! :)
Mummy is glad that Xuan has adapted to the learning environment in GUG now. From refusal to sit down to listen to teachers' teaching to self-discipline today to sit down (at my 4th lesson) when teachers start to sing the "sitting down" song. This is a great achievement as Xuan is an active girl by nature. hehehe..
After attending both JG and GUG, mummy feels that GUG's learning environment is more localised while JG adopts a more westernised culture where teachers encourages a lot of self-expression and the environment is very "loud", i.e. teachers are really more spontaneous, speak louder. Attending lessons in JG is like going for fun at party! :) On the other hand, GUG's teachers are more toned down.
After much consideration and discussion with papa, Xuan will be continuing lessons at GUG. Mmummy and papa feels that GUG learning environment is more suitable for Xuan as it is more organised. Xuan can pay better attention in class in GUG as the environment is less "noisy". It will be a better place to prepare Xuan for nursery 2 next year.
After every lesson and our lunch, mummy will let Xuan have some fun playing and running a round at United Square. Today, Xuan has a lot of fun at United Square's atrium after class. Xuan spotted a red slide and ran axcitedly toward it with mummy chasing behind me!hahaha..

The mosquitoes have been targeting Xuan recently. Poor me has more than 10 bites altogether on my legs, hands and arm and face last week! Mummy and papa are sad to see the red spots all over. haizz..
To fight the itchiness and the fear of leaving scars, mummy bought an organic aloe vera gel from the internet, which is believe to be very effective in relieving itchiness, reducing scars and many many other benefits. And yes! Indeed, this aloe vera gel is our saviour! Xuan really hardly scratch. Mummy is so relieved that she has placed more order for the gel. :D
To protect Xuan from further bites, mummy feels that the best way is to clothe me in long sleeve shirt and pant. Mummy bought me a sweet pinky Hello Kitty long pyjamas dress and Xuan loves it!

2009 hairstyle of the year
Xuan has a new look!! A bob hairstyle for a brand new year! I like it! it is so breezy with wind blowing on my neck now!
It is time for a hair cut as Xuan's wavy hair is getting a bit long and unmanageable. While mummy and papa are feeling the heartache to cut away Xuan's natural wavy hair, we decided that it is time for a cut so that Xuan will have a neater look. And yeay, indeed, Xuan looks so much neater, cuter and you know rounder now. hahaha...
The auntie at the kid hair salon told mummy that a bob look will be nice for Xuan. While auntie was busy cutting Xuan's hair, mummy kept me distracted with Barney's show, balloons, stickers. Auntie praised Xuan and told mummy that Xuan was already very cooperative and "guai" as I didnt cry.
Within about 10 minutes, Xuan has a new look! The bob cut made Xuan's round face looks even more rounder than before! hahaha.. Now Xuan has straight neat hair. Mummy loves the new look even though we also miss the long hair.

Xuan left the saloon with a purple balloon, 3 stickers and 1 candy. :) I am a happy customer!
Guess what, when papa was back home from work in the evening, papa gave Xuan a shocking look and exclaimed, " ai yo.. what happen to my Xuan Xuan's hair!"

Back to school
Xuan is happy to resume my class last Monday! However, Xuan is going GUG this semester and not JG. Mummy would like to take this opportunity to decide whether GUG or JG has a more ideal learning environment for Xuan. Most importantly to see which school does Xuan enjoys more. ;)
Last monday, Xuan and mummy embarked for school at around 10.15am after our hearty breakfast. It was a total different experience as Xuan used to go class during weekend with papa as our chaffeur.. hehehe..
There were 3 teachers in the class with 8 children. We sang the good morning class, took turn to stand in front of the class to wave and say hello to everyone, learn zoophonic, sing and dance, have snack time... Even though Xuan is new to the class, I am not shy at all. I voluntarily helped to clean the white board! hahaha.. well in actual fact, the teacher has asked Xuan to help cos I kept walking round the class. hehehe..
And oh ya.. Xuan also has a welcome session from everyone too cos Xuan is new to the class! hehehe...:)
And again, do you know that Xuan is the tallest in the class! One mummy was surprised to learn that Xuan is only 26 months old cos Xuan looks tall and big to her.. hehehe :)
Hummm.. There is no photos to share as we are not allowed to take pictures in the class. Xuan will share more in words when i attend more classes.

Taking train
Xuan went to ICA with mummy last week. We were there to collect mummy's new IC. We were surprised to see the crowd and queue. Mummy had thought that the crowd will be manageable as it was the third day of chinese new year. We were glad that the wait for only about 20 minutes. Mummy decided to bring Xuan on a train ride back home. Xuan was excited! I saw many long trains on TV but hardly have chance to take a REAL train. "Train.. long train"! Xuan told mummy. :)
The train was crowded and mummy asked Xuan to hold on tight to the pole. 2 big gorgors in school uniforms eventually gave up their seats to Xuan after a kind uncle signal them to give up their seat. Xuan could tell that the 2 gorgors looked a bit reluntant but have no choice but to give up their seats to Xuan and mummy in the eyes of others riders on the train. Mummy has politely declined the offer but the 2 gorgors stood up.
See how curious Xuan looks. Let me hold on tight. The ride is a litle bit bumpy. hehehe..

Potty training
Xuan's potty training has started officially on Monday!
This is the 4th day and Xuan is proud to announce that the progress has been encouraging except for a few misses resulting in wet pants and floor, Hehehe.. Mummy and ah ma's constant effort in reminding Xuan to go to my Piyo Piyo potty throughout the day is paying off! Well, it is really a breeze for my little butt without the thick diaper! hahaha..
For the official potty training to start off, Xuan went to shop for a potty last saturday! I found a nice and cute Piyo Piyo potty! It is really pretty and looks comfortable to me! hahaha..

Xuan had a late night during new year eve. Mummy and papa said that it is fine to let Xuan stay up later till past midnight since it is once a year.

A different chinese new year
Xuan is back after almost 2 weeks! :)
Da jiu jiu has been reminding mummy that we have not written for amost 2 weeks. Ai yo da jiu jiu, mummy's both hands have been really really tight, handling didi and of course me! Don't worry, we have not forgotten to write. We are just a bit slower now.. hehehe..
We did not celebrate chinese new year this year as we just lost our beloved ah Zuo. Mummy said that she misses ah zuo a lot with CNY here. As in previous years, Mummy bought ah zuo her favourite CNY goodies but it is different this year. The goodies is on ah zuo's praying tablet this year.
Everyone in the family misses ah Zuo very much. Da jiujiu, er jiujiu, xiao jiu jiu, ah gong...
Even though we are not celebrating chinese new year, we had our family dinner as usual on new year eve. Xuan has not been back to ah gong's place for 1 month cos mummy was in confinement. This year, we have our didi Kai Kai with us! Mummy and papa said that it is really a handful with 2 of us. Bigger and heavier diaper bag we have now! hahaha... more squeezy in the car with 2 car seats and mummy is squashed in the middle between didi and me! Mummy said that she can only afford to get slimmer and not fatter. More reason and motivation to go on diet!
