Meeting Minions

We met Minions at Suntec City. Thanks to da jiujiu and we got tickets to be get into the areas to sit down comfortably to wait. Guess what. We waited for an hour and the Minions are only out on stage for less than 5 minutes! Very poor management team.

Anyway, Xuan has a great time cos she was picked among one of the 4 invited to go up the stage for the Minion danit is ce as she caught the attention of the organiser when the children were dancing down the stage. Much to our surprise, the minion mascots appeared on stage beside Xuan in the middle of the dance. Oh gosh, mommy was worried for a while, fearing the Xuan may get the shock of her life and run down the stage as she has a big big fear of mascots! BRAVO Xuan!! She was stunned for a few seconds but she kept her cool and completed the dance on stage!! Hoorray!

Mommy took the opoortunity to convince her that mascot is afterall not a scary thing and she has bravely overcome it!!! She laughed and agreed that it was not that scary afterall. She said that she was really taken aback when she saw the minions coming toward her when she turned around. But she kept calm. 3 cheers to Xuan and of course minions!!!

Celebrating didi's 5th birthday!

Didi had a great surprise for his 5th birthday celebration when mommy and papa unveiled a special customised McQueen car ice-cream cake for him. No discussion of the cake was done prior to the celebration! Kai was very surprised and “loss for words” look when he came out of the room and saw the cake! The main figurine was a new Mcqueen car bought from Disneyland website. Mommy ordered a Baskin Robbins ice-cream cake and requested for the centre of the cake to be left plain so that we can create our own Mcqueen cake uniquely on our own! The result is truly amazing! Yay!

Getaway 2: Hong Kong Disneyland and shopping - Dec 2013

We were all very grateful that we get to go for another family trip to round up 2013. With Xuan and Kai at 7 and 5 years old, both of them enjoyed themselves very much from the trip since they could fully appreciate the fun at every ride and show now. Compared to 3 years old when we had to lug a stroller, hot flask, 2 milk bottles, cool water bottles, milk powder, diapers(!!) and extra sets of clothings, it is a breeze now. We just need 2 water bottles and another set of extra clothings (which we usually have) and off we go!

Shopping at Disneyland is definitely a major highlight to the children when both were busy browsing through every shelf. The sibling bond is particularly strong at shopping (haha!!) when we noticed how Kai will quickly notify jiejie when he spotted princess stuffs and how excitedly jiejie will call for Kai when she spotted Mcqueen collections.

Kai almost wanted to wipe-out the Mcqueen Cars collection and jiejie is fascinated by the princess wands, cups, umbrellas….. Although some of the price is really attractive compared to getting them in Singapore, we still have to exercise selective buying! Hahaha.. Kai’s buys from Disneyland includes a mcqueen tee, a mcqueen alarm clock, 2 mcqueen cars collection, a mcqueen trolley, a luggage tag, a mickey serving bowl, Monster University lunch box while Xuan’s buys include a pinky princess top, minnie mouse pen, snow white figurine drinking mug, princess bag tag, Minnie mouse serving bowl, princess hair bands and head bands, Monster University lunch box..

Kai had asked to go back again the next time and Xuan has proposed that we have a 2 weeks stay next year….. We shall see….
