Xuan is back

It has been ages since we are back here!

We have been too busy round the year! Looking back, every second and minute ticks by so fast without leaving any traces.
We try to catch as much memories as we can before time and age take it away!

At the start of 2016, mommy asked Xuan about her new year resolution.
Mommy: Xuan, can you share what is the most memorable event for 2015?
Xuan: My 9th birthday celebration and the birthday presents received!

Mommy: What do you hope for in 2016 and your new year resolution?
Xuan: Hope for best health for mommy and papa! Hope for world peace!

Great hope for my daughter!

I hope Xuan will have a happier, healthier and fruitful growing up year in 2016. Remember that as you grow up, you will meet various kind of people of good and not so good to go along with. Always remember what mommy tell you, Be yourself. Do not be easily influence and affected by others. The greatest fear is to be easily influenced by others.

2015 quick flashback

Xuan had a busy school life. Xuan did a good job for P2, earning herself the 3rd place in her class. She also received the good progress award and the Edusave Merit award. Xuan was so elated to be able to attend the Speech Day and be on the stage to receive her award. For that, Xuan was able to be in the 1st 3 classes in P3. With that, Xuan also face pretty lots of pressure from teachers and mommy (yes, to be honest). Teachers expect them to always maintain in high Band 1 and those with fall out of the band will have to attend extra classes. The pressure is there. Our motto at home: Study hard. Play hard. Be responsible and self discipline is what mommy always emphasize. Mommy is the principal at home when comes to school work. Mommy is the good guy who rewards and treats handsomely when we are discipline and do a good job for our exam. Similarly, mommy is also the bad guy who will not "let us off" when we misbehave or forgot our work! hahaha..

With the pressure to maintain, Xuan had a busy 2015, particularly toward term 4 where teachers floated them with lots of mock test papers to complete every week.

Xuan had a fabulous experience in her stage performance in choir in 2015. She has definitely gained a lot of confidence on stage facing a big group of audience. From public performance at esplanade concourse to NUS Yong Siew Toh Music Conservationary hall to the Final show at Esplanade Main Hall, it was a golden chance to be able to stand at our magnificent Esplanade Hall, competing against other international schools before a panel of international judges. Mommy took leave and was present at NUS hall and Esplanade Hall and was definitely full of WOW and pride for our darling girl

In the midst of our busy weeks, we had some great fun in the year too. We went cycling at ECP, Hort Park. We went to SG50 NDP. We went for a great holiday at Taiwan. Xuan celebrated her 9th birthday at Hello Kitty Taiwan too! We went for our 1st family bowling experience. We went the kids' favourite Adventure Cove again! We re-visited Sea Acquarium too. We changed to a bigger and more comfortable family car. And most importantly, the whole family is well and happy together.

Dear darling daughter, 1 important message that you have to always remember. Mommy and papa love you dearly. When we punish you, it is because we are teaching you to be better. When we stop you from doing something, it is because we didn't want you to get hurt. No matter you are 8, 18, 28, 38 or 48, you will forever be our little XuanXuan! :D

We know that 2016 will be an even more hectic year for you in school. Do your best and mommy and papa will be your best right and left hand supporter!
