Birthday celebration with loved ones
Yes.. another 6th birthday celebration update... hahaha..
Our dear Xuan is 6! My fair little baby who we 1st hold her dearly at Raffles Hosp in my arms is 6! When we first set my eyes on her on 22/11/2006, her fair and snowy complexion and little cherry mouth caught mommy and papa’s hearts tightly at once. She is ours. Our little dear Xuan. It is very instinctively at the moment that we will always protect her and love her till end of world.
Xuan @ 6 years old is a bubbly cheerful girl. She loves outdoor activities such as cycling and riding scooters. She loves to go to the bench for cycling, picnic or building sand castles! Xuan also loves water play. Although she is fearful of water getting into her eyes and mouth, she likes to go swimming pool and we had a fantastic time last month at Port of Wonderland and at the Hard Rock Hotel swimming pool.
Xuan @ 6 is a lovely girl who loves surprises. Beside loving receiving surprises, she enjoys planting surprises too! And sweet lovely ones! She is always writing little notes (I love you, Happy Birthday,…..) and hiding them in mommy and papa’s drawers and cabinets or pasting on the bedroom’s door. :D
Xuan @ 6 years old enjoys watching television programmes a lot. She can remember the timings of her favourite show very well in her mind. And she is a tv addict that she always gets so engrossed. Her most favourite shows currently includes, Barbie series, Little Pony,…. and the funny cute Bananas in Pjyamas.
Xuan @ 6 is at the stage where she wants her right of speech and say. She reasons, she asks, she questions, she demands too. We guess and hope it is the norm of a 6 years old. And of course, mommy and papa reason with her, tell her, explain to her and when necessary, put our foot down on certain demands. Papa always said that Xuan is very much like mommy in certain aspect, such as temperament. Opps..
2 weeks before 22/11/2012, Xuan has an early celebration with maternal grandparents and family. Xuan wanted a snow white theme so that she can wear her precious Disneyland Snow White gown and tiara. And of course, mommy's task is to look for Snow White cake to complement the theme. Fortunately, mommy found a pretty Snow White cake from Four Leaves bakery and therefore save a lot of time to look for baker to customise the cake. :D

Xuan would like to thank both paternal and maternal ah gong and ah ma, er jiujiu for the best wishes hong baos, da jiujiu for the Kingdom Fun Clay set, xiaojiujiu and Shufen jiejie for the pretty pinky Smiggle stationary set, Shushu and shenshen for the fun Lego Friend set, hello kitty 22/11 plush toy and notepad, gugu and guzhan for the Aqua Hello Kitty nail polish set, aunty D for the sporty Adidas tee, aunty Winnie for the sweet pretty pinky watch which comes as a pair with mommmy's watch.
Wish our little princess happy birthday! May our little princess grow up strong, healthy and happy forever. May she have the strength and determination to uphold the good morale values of kindness, respect, discipline, understanding in her life.

Our helpful jiejie
This is a very precious picture!
Xuan helping mommy to feed didi who was engrossed in his show! And tell all of you, Xuan did a very good job and made sure didi finished every single grain!
Xuan can be a great helper at home. She helps to clean the house with magic clean wiper. She helps to fold clothes every weekend when asks to. She helps to bring laundry from laundry areas to the bedroom etc.. We are happy to see Xuan doing her part bit by bit as she grows up.

At Sentosa Boardwalk with our scooters
This should be the 2nd or 3rd time to the Sentosa Boardwalk but it is the 1st time we went with our scooters!
It is really nice to ride scooters there in the evening when it is windy. As the walkway is broad, we can ride our scooters smoothly without having to stop or swerve to avoid other people. There are also a few gentle slopes that offer us some thrill! wahahah...Mommy and papa thought that the gentle slopes are quite ideal for us to train our balancing skill, confidence and of course steadiness! hahaha...

Birthday celebration in school
And more significantly, both Xuan and didi held their birthday celebration in school together on the last day of the school term since both of our birthday fall during school holiday.
Mommy told the challenge of self-collecting, self delivery the 2 heavy cakes with all goodies bags and armed with her DSLR, drove to the school in a slow and steady pace, mindful of every little small hump and turn!
This year school celebration is a totally fresh experience for both of us as the school has a unique and special way of celebrating the children's birthday. The birthday boy/girl, carrying a globe, will walk around a sun(made with cardboard) surrounded with 12 sun rays, each representing a month. Their friends will begin singing, "the world goes round the sun, the world goes round the sun and Ning Xuan is 1...." and it goes on and on until it reaches the current age. And so, didi has to go round the sun 4 rounds and Xuan has to go round 6 rounds, with each round stopping at their birthday month. With each significant stop, mommy will share a story of us to the teachers and classmates. Quite a special ceremony isn't it?!

2012 xmas random
There are always many shows featuring the various well-known cartoon characters in almost all major shopping malls during the Nov/Dec season. This year, we decided that we will give it a break cos it was really tiring beating the crowds! hahaha...
Nevertheless, in the end, we still went for a few. We watched ice skating show at Novena Square, Barbie Popstar show at Jurong Point, Chuggington at CitySq mall, The Big clubhouse show at United Square. Xuan loves the Barbie Popstar show the most and is her latest craze!
Unless there is going to be something different and more interesting next year, maybe we should really give these shows a miss. hahaha... cos they are the same year after year with minimal improvised theme and storyline.

School holiday cum didi's birthday treat fun!
Mommy took 3 days leave consecutively last week and we were given a treat on the 1st day! A trip to Polliwogs! Hoorray!
Hoping to avoid crowd, we reached Polliwog at 955 which is 5mins ahead of opening hour and guess what, we are already the 5th customer and behind us, more mommies and children are streaming in non-stop! Xuan and didi were so excited and happy that they head for the long slides almost immediately! Mommy armed with her DSLR, bent low and through obstacles, hoping to snap pictures of our fun and joys! hahaha... A morning workout for everyone!
As didi was younger, mommy told me that she has to watch didi closer and I could venture anywhere within the indoor playground herself, but not to leave the place with anyone except mommy. And so we went up and down, high and low for 2 hours. For many moments, mommy really lost sight of me. After the session, Xuan told mommy that she was actually a bit afraid when she can't find me anywhere and thought that we may have left without her and she went round asking whether anyone has saw her mommy! I guess it is because we don't usually leave them out of our sight in public and Xuan being a more prudence girl is more wary of being left alone. Mommy assured her that we would never leave the place without her and she continued her play with ease. hahaha... my girl!
We had a great time sweating out! The size of this indoor playground is not too big but just good for us that day cos there is only mommy to watch over us. The biggest indoor playground We ever went is still Kidzexploerer at downtown east.
We left Pollliwogs at 12noon, drained of energy! hhaha... we head for lunch at the nearby Great World City. We took a short walk. We went marketing at the supermarket before heading home happily!

The air conditioning temperature of this restaurant was particular very low and I was feeling cold. See what Kai did spontaneously when papa asked him to give me a hug. The warmest Hug on earth!
Celebrating paternal ah gong's birthday
On 9/12/12, we celebrated maternal ah gong's birthday! We had a feast at Peach Garden's dim sum buffet that Sunday afternoon as ah gong likes the food there.
We wish ah gong best of health, happiness and prosperity many years ahead!

October family dinner
In October, we went for another family dinner. This time to celebrate mommy, er jiu-jiu and gu-pao birthday!
Mid Autumn celebration 2012
Xuan and didi had a new experience celebrating the Mid Autumn Festival this year.
We joined the community centre organised celebration! There were games booths set-up around the community centre and both Xuan and didi had fun going round playing the games with the coupons purchased. Thereafter, we had a walk around the neighbourhood with our lanterns. It was a huge crowd! There were lion dance and dragon dance too!
Mommy and papa hope to let us experience the very simple joys that they used to have during their childhood days too.

Spongy
This is Xuan's most favourite soft toy. Xuan calls it "Spongy". It is a present from er jiujiu. Every night, Xuan hugs Spongy to sleep. Even when she decides to come over to mommy and papa's bedroom in the middle of the night, she will remember to bring spongy along in the dark. Xuan will not go to bed without Spongy every night.
