Meeting my fave Winx
As requeted by Xuan and didi, we went all the way to Serangoon Nex to meet them
Pretty night-out for a wedding dinner
The kids enjoyed the night, their 1st experience attending a wedding dinner. :)
Fun under the sun...
It was a scorching afternoon. We thought that we should be pretty sheltered by trees at the park but it was still as hot. hahaa..
Mommy was brilliant to make sure she was armed with an umbrella. haaha...Girls being girls, Xuan gave up scootering after 15minutes and decided that staying under the umbrella with mommy should be a wiser decision. hahaha...
On the other hand, Kai was enjoying himself under the sun. He was not at all bothered by the heat and was riding his scooter with his cool shades on. Yes dear Son! That is the way a true little young man should be!

What I want to be when I grow up
At 8 years old, Xuan told me that she wants to be founder of a company when she grows up!
Truly admirable!
Xuan wanted to set up a company designing and selling clothes. Xuan has a special like for fashion design and it is obvious when her attention is always on the dressing of celebrities and singers on TV instead of the show that we are watching. " Look at that lace! Look at that shiny sparkling gown! Look at the beautiful flowy dress!...."
Xuan has a book where she sketches her work. You can see numerous pages of dresses that she has designed whenever THE FEEL, THE INSPIRATION and IDEA come to her mind.
It is great to see spark of excitment and inspiration from her eyes as she speak about her dream!

Early x'mas shopping at Orchard
Early xmas shopping at Orchard and we took the opportunity to visit the library @ Orchard with much anticipation. However, we (especially Xuan) ended up leaving in disappointment as there is no children book collections.
October exam fever
It is the exam fever month of October!
All shopping malls have visibly empty. Hardly any primary school children at playground and park. Even the ice cream vendor uncle complained that his business is poorer this month. Hahaha..
Xuan has completed his HCL, English and math paper and left 1 more to go the following week. We decided that we should go out for a breather and enjoy a good dinner. Xuan and Kai missed Hort Park and so we headed there with our scooters. It is the 1st time we see Hort Park so quiet. The ususal noisy and packed play area was totally empty! Pwer of exam in Singapore. And so, both Xuan and Kai had the big play area to themselves! hahaha..
Both had a fabulous running around and sweating out!

Xuan has worked hard for a year and her effort has reaped fruits!
Xuan has met the targeted grades and has done well to get 3rd position in class. :) With this, Xuan was overjoyed to be invited to the Annual Speech Day to receive a prize voucher. Beside, Xuan also received a certificate of achievement for being at the top 25% of the cohort. To our surprise, we also received a letter informing of Xuan's receipt of Good Progress Award under Tanjong Pagar GRC and she is waiting anxiously to attend the ceremony this coming week!
It is a fruitful 2014 for Xuan!
We hope that Xuan continues to work hard, excel and enjoy the learning journey as she acquires new knowledge and develop good values and character.

Xuan is 8! Happy Birthday!
Xuan has a fabulous and great time at RWS festive hotel celebrating her 8th birthday with her jiujiu and little cousin Yu.
It was a triple celebration for the November babies. It was totally a FroZeN time where we had 2 FRoZeN cakes!
Xuan was particularly elated to receive her long-wished for Elsa doll as well as her bridal and groom Barbie set from mommy & papa. She didn’t know why mommy had refused to buy the doll for her the week before when she kept asking for one at the shopping mall. It was already in the gift bag in the hidden in the car boot! Hahaha..
It was great to get everyone together.. Young and old yearly for birthday bash!
Big thank you to ah gong and ah ma for the red packets packed with well wishes, da jiujiu and ah kim for the pretty bracelets, er jiujiu and Fei jiejie for the softy huggable blanket and Xiaojiujiu and Shufen jiejie for the flying Elsa! :D
