Last month, Xuan went for a family dinner with maternal grandparents. It was ah ma's birthday. It was also supposed to be belated father's day dinner for ah gong. hehehe... it was postponed so many times due to reasons such as someone in the family is unwell, someone in the family has work commitments, and somehow everyone's schedule cannot be matched. Nevertheless, we are all glad that finally we are all able to sit down and enjoy a feast. :D
Being able to dine together with the whole family is a blissful feeling.

Painting time with didi!
Do you still remember this painting board stand that papa bought for me when i was 2+ years old? hehe..
Xuan has not been using this board to do painting for quite a while. Recent painting have been done on regular size drawing paper on table. When papa bought this board for Xuan, papa told Xuan that when didi is older, Xuan can share with painting board with didi where didi will paint on one side and Xuan can paint on the other side! Finally, this day has came!
Last friday evening, mummy and papa suggested that Xuan and didi shalldo painting together! This is exciting cos Xuan has not done painting together with didi before! It sure gonna be fun and totally exciting. :)
While mummy allocated a sheet of paper to each of us, this can't stop didi from walking over to my side to contribute a stroke here and there every few minutes. This has made Xuan upset every now and then. However, after a while, Xuan got "immuned" to it and soon both Xuan and didi began to paint together on the same sheet of paper. hahaha..

See how serious Xuan was at painting..

Xuan painted an apple tree! Saw it?!

Xuan watching over didi painting. :D

See we decided to share a paper instead.. haha
A definitely fun and healthy activity for us as we unleash our creativity together! :D

ND 2010 celebration party in school
Xuan has a fun day last friday celebrating National Day with teachers and friends!
All of my friends are dressed in red or white. Mummy said that we looked like a sea of Singapore flags when we were playing in the outdoor last friday morning. haha.. Ms Isabel was busy taking pictures for us as we ran and chased each other. :D
Xuan and friends were supposed to bring some foods to share with our friends for the celebration party. And of course, the task was left to our dear mummies! :) After some thoughts, mummy decided to prepare sandwiches for me to bring to school to share with my friends. Not triangle sandwich. Not squarish sandwich. Xuan has starry sandwiches, lovely heart sandwiches with soaring jetplanes around!

See mummy's effort. There are 30 mini sandwiches and mummy has to cut 60 mini sandwiches the night before to complete this look simple but sincere and healthy snacks. :)

Xuan is ready to go school in my red top!

Xuan is happy! I am going to school with my lovely sandwiches!

Xuan's teacher drew this motifs for me. Some of my friends have them drew on their faces but Xuan preferred to keep her face clean! hahaha..

Xuan and her best friend, Jasmine.
According to teacher, Xuan and Jasmine weren't good friends initially and were in fact loggerhead. However, they became best of friends eventually and are always together. hahaha..
Thank you Ms Isabel for sending mummy the pictures taken of Xuan and friends in the celebration party. :D

Smiley face
Xuan is into drawing recently.
Much to Xuan’s delight, mummy bought new white drawing boards and magic pens last Friday. One for me and one for didi. Both didi and I can’t stop drawing non-stop with the marker pens. Xuan drew caterpillar, flower, tree, smiley faces, wrote her name, practice chinese “bi hua”…..
Last Sunday afternoon, when all of us were in my bedroom playing, Xuan took the board and started drawing lots of smiley faces again. Mummy is delighted cos children are the most innocent and their drawing will always very much reflect their inner feelings and mood.
Xuan requested for a picture shot after she drew the 1st smiley face before she continue.
Xuan said to herself,”this is Anna, this is Kenzan, this is Jasmine, this is Kaito…” **her friends in school..
While Xuan was enjoying her own space and time of imagination and drawing, didi was busy playing his wooden puzzles.
Later in the afternoon when didi was napping, Xuan lamented that she was bored. This is Xuan. She cannot be idle for a while. So we decided that Xuan shall do some painting while mummy needed to catch the little time on household chores. And so, Xuan, the little Picasso started painting on her own. Mixing colours, finger painting, writing chinese "bi hua" and singing to herself as she coloured her world. Totally relaxing and at ease. A wonderful moment. Mummy enjoys that feeling. Can you imagine?
After finishing her work, Xuan washed up the palette, the brushes and her hands with no hassle, with no assistance (although used more water than is needed.. :p).Mummy is pleasantly surprised. Where are mummy and papa? Mummy was busily finishing hanging the last few pieces of clothes (while chatting with Xuan) and papa was out for work assignment the last weekend. And dear didi is still napping. :D
One of the recent arts and crafts session with mummy.
We made a bus with tissue box and toilet rolls, coloured papers, marker pens..
My partially completed coloured bus..
