Good effort!

Mummy and papa are thrilled and proud of Xuan's effort. Mummy bought a sweet strawberry cake to celebrate the happy news!

Although it is not a birthday celebration, Xuan still asked for a candle. Fortunately, mummy knows Xuan best and has prepared a candle in advance. ** Didi is very busy with the blinds**

Delicious yummy cake!

Sweet 3 years and 8 months old

Xuan is 3 years and 8 months old! Four more months before I turn pretty 4 years old.

2 nights ago, Xuan and mummy were browsing through cake website for ideas. Seems pretty early right but mummy would need time to reserve the date with the baker if there is a need to customize the cake. Meanwhile, Xuan still has not make up my mind. With every mummy’s suggestion, Xuan has another in mind. Hello Kitty, Dora, Mickey mouse, pooh bear, snow white, princess, doraemon, castle..

Chill out at airport

2 weekends ago, Xuan had an enjoyable and relaxing time at the airport.

Not wanting to window shop or stay at home that day. Mummy and papa decided to bring Xuan and didi to somewhere where there are ample space for us to walk, “exercise” and run around and yet safe and cooling. Airport! So after my berries class and our visit to the library, we headed for airport. Yes… mummy promised Xuan that we will go to the library together and Xuan can borrow books by myself using the machine. :D

After the library’s trip, we headed for the airport. Xuan fell asleep in the car along the way. It was so easy to wake up Xuan upon reaching. Xuan heard mummy, “We have reached airport. Who wants to drive the mini car?” And Xuan’s eyes are widely open within seconds. Hahaha.. it has never been so easy cos Xuan is a deep sleeper!

We went to the viewing mall to catch aeroplanes taking off and landing. We took skytrains from T3 to T2 and T1 to bring Xuan and didi around. And last but not least, we went for the highlight of the trip. We headed for the kiddy rides at T3 B2 carpark! A section of the carpark has been converted to a mini children driving circuit. Jiejie was delighted and chose a pinky car while papa took Kai for a ride at a huge Hippo bubble car! Xuan could drive by herself with minimal intervention. However, Xuan’s car did bump into the side road that few times cos I looked around to look for papa and didi’s car instead of concentrating on my lane. Hehehe.. Mummy was happy enough to run and chase us and be our photographer. Too bad, we forgot to bring our DSLR and can only be contended with mummy’s mobile which is not too clear to take moving objects.

I like to come to airport!

Waiting for aeroplane to take off..

My top matches my car!

See us on the road!! :p

See my driving skill... not too bad right.. :p

My fire-truck kiddy meal!

Universal Studios (2nd day)

Is it due to long day of play and walk the day before or the hotel comfortable bed? All of us slept through till almost 9am except mummy who woke up slightly earlier to pack our bag. And we only woke up after mummy tried to wake us up gently one by one by switching on the lights.

Xuan must be really excited about USS that she couldn’t finish drinking even a quarter bottle of her milk. Well, this is Xuan. She couldn’t finish her milk the morning when she was going to the Zoo excursion last month too. :p

We reached USS at about 10.30am and there was no long queue much to our delight! There is stroller rental at the entrance. Xuan opted for a stroller so that I can be “chauffeured” around and be sheltered from the blazing sun. The weather was really hot. Fortunately, we went prepared with caps/hats, shades and plenty of water. Mummy is careful to keep giving Xuan and didi water regularly. Thanks to the weather, Xuan got my Ben & Jerry ice-cream treat! :)

Xuan was very overjoyed that mummy and papa agreed to let her have the ownership have our previous Sony CyberShot for the entire day. Xuan had a great snapping away the whole day. When mummy and papa uploaded the pictures, they were surprised to find some really nice and interesting shots! Hahaha.. :D The photos will be uploaded soon!

To avoid crowd, we went for early lunch at 11.30am at Goldlilock restaurant. The Burger is big and nice. The chicken is also tasty. Xuan and didi enjoyed the chips most!

After our satisfying lunch, we were recharged and ready to venture the rest of the USS. To everyone surprise, Xuan took the rides readily. Xuan took the flying dinosaur ride with mummy and accelerator with papa, (the spinning saucer) twice! Xuan enjoyed the rides very much! Bravo!! Xuan has asked to go for the dragon roller coaster but we didn’t eventually cos it was another long walk back to the ride. While Xuan could take these more excited rides, Xuan didn’t want to go for the Carousel. :p As a momento, papa bought the mighty zebra watch for Xuan!

Along the walk, mummy was also happy to meet some of her ex-colleagues cum good friends and was even surprised to meet one of my mummy’s good old friend, aunty Christina and family there too!

We managed to take a number of shots with most of the mascots successfully and we like the madagascar dance! It was so cute! We also watched the waterworld show. It was a live show with explosions, fireballs, gun shots, speed boats and stunts. Xuan and didi enjoyed the cheering session before the show. When the show started, Xuan was literally watched in astonishment and with her mouth wide open. While little didi clinged on to papa tightly, he watched it without a wink too! Hahaha.. After the show, Xuan lamented that, “mummy, I don’t like the show. The men are naughty right. They fight and there are fires! I think Hello Kitty show is better.” hahahaha..

When we wanted to leave at about 6pm, Xuan didn’t want to. It was after much coaxing and distraction that we managed to persuade Xuan to leave USS. Mummy even has to carry the tired Xuan all the way from RWS to our car which is parked almost 250m away. And guess what, before our car left RWS carpark, Xuan fell asleep and didn’t stir a bit even after we have reached our home carpark, carried her to stroller and back to home, and after everyone has showered! Hahaha…

Photos to share.. :)

Mummy and papa feel the overall experience is rather good. In fact, papa prefers it to Hong Kong DisneyLand. Perhaps we can be back in another 2 years when didi is older and all of us can go for all the rides together! :D

RWS - Here we come.. (1st day)

Xuan had fun at RWS and USS last weekend!

Mummy and papa have been telling Xuan about the trip and that we are going to go the beach, going to see big Kung-Fu Panda and many many mascots. However, Xuan has never liked those huge mascots. Whenever we see mascots at shopping mall, Xuan would be hiding behind mummy or papa. So mummy decided to talk about the forecoming encounters with Xuan before the trip so that Xuan would be more mentally prepared.
Xuan was excited when she see mummy and papa packing for the short getsaway. Xuan even lamented that, “I need to pack. I need to write down what I need to bring. I need mickey mouse bag, my swimming costume, my hat….” :p

So on Friday morning, we set off at 10am+ with our mini luggage bag. It was only a night stay at Festive Hotel but mummy is amazed with the things that Xuan and Kai need. Milk powder, diapers, sets of change of clothes, pyjamas, wet wipes, … well, mummy admitted that it is also her kiasuism cos mummy packed extra for everything… milk powder, diaper, clothes…. Hahaha..

We spent the first half of the day shopping and exploring RWS. The shopping areas are relatively small and we completed the 1st round in a short while. At lunch time, every restaurant was packed and lined with people. We went to Chilis, a restaurant situated just outside USS for lunch. Didi was started to get restless cos it was his nap time and papa has to engage him with lots of activities so that all of us could finish our lunch swiftly.

After our hearty lunch, we went around all exploring corners that we may have missed out before checking in the hotel close to 3pm. We dropped everything and have a good rest before the next agenda! Xuan was so happy with her loft bed that she can’t stop climbing up and down. Mummy feels that the loft bed is rather high up and is quite dangerous for young children like me. Although Xuan was already very skilled in getting up and down the loft bed, mummy and papa still can’t help watching me closely whenever I made my ascent and descent. Hehehe.. Dear didi tried but he couldn’t go up after climbing up the 2nd steps.. hehehe.. So didi went to explore the room for his own interest instead… the phone, the remote control, the washroom, the cup..

At 4pm, we are ready for our next line-up! Water play! Hoorray! Xuan and didi changed into our swim suit with no hassle. Our hotel’s swimming pool is still not ready and we decided to check out the Hard Rock Hotel swimming pool cos we knew that there is a man-made beach at the pool! Xuan and didi enjoyed ourselves! While didi was happy with his first experience playing and digging sand, Xuan was very busy walking up and down to the pool to fetch water to didi .

After a good wash up back at hotel, mummy and papa headed for the Chinese Restaurant hoping to get some decent rice, soup and dish for me and didi. However, we were backed away by the long queue. We ended up in the quiet Coffee Bean eating pasta. After dinner, we strolled around for a while, basking in the World Cup fever in RWS before we retreated back to our room cos Xuan and didi were getting noticeable tired (and a bit cranky) after the whole of day activities.

Vote me!

Xuan is taking part in the Naturel Pasta Picasso Competition!

Xuan's teachers have submitted Xuan and classmates' works to the participating website for a competition. Over the last few weeks, Xuan and friends have lots of fun in school painting the different shapes and sizes of pasta before pasting them one by one onto our own choice of picture.

This is my work! A very sweet apple tree!
Xuan has put in a lot of effort!

Don't hesitate! Give Xuan a vote now before 30 June 2010!
