2 Sundays ago, we went for our 1st family farm visits. Initially, our agenda was only to visit the Hay Dairy Goat Farm and the Jurong Frog Farm. However, papa decided to check-out the many Fish farms nearby as well since we have travelled all the way to Lim Chu Kang. Fortunately, we did that cos Xuan and didi have so much fun catching and feeding fishes! :D
From the visit, we get the chance to see goat milking sessions. We walked round the goat farm looking at the many goats and their babies. All of them are enclosed in a relatively small enclosure. When we were there, they were let out batch by batch for the morning milking session. The farm is not too big but it is very clean and well organised.
Before we venture to the frog farm, we had some quick breakfast fix in the car! Our favourite cheesy sausage bun. :)
Next, we ventured to the Frog farm 2 lanes down. This is the 1st time that we saw so many frogs at one go. We had the chance to get some frog feeds to feed the frogs too! We walked around and saw some really big and fat tadpoles, small froglets and of course, big frogs! In short, we see the whole life cycle of the frog in one of the enclosed water place. When didi saw the frogs, he exclaimed, "frogs ribbit ribbit!"
As it was still pretty early and since we have travelled all the way to Lim Chu Kang, papa studied the map and decided that we shall visit another farm. Xuan asked for cow farm but it was pretty out of the way from where we were. We eventually decided on fish farms. Thanks to the papa’s idea. Fortunately, we went there cos Xuan and didi had a great experience and fun time catching and feeding fishes. :D
Till today, didi is still having fresh memory of his frog and fish feeding experience that he is talking about “Kai feeds fish.” “Papa mummy, go frog farm again.” :D
